How Care Works
1) Initial Consultation
2) Report of Findings
3) Care plan
Step 1: Your initial consultation
About 30 minutes This visit is all about understanding what’s going on. We don’t rush it, and we don’t adjust anyone until we know what we’re working with. We talk About your health history, what’s bothering you or your child, how long it’s been going on, and what you’ve already tried. We also ask about the bigger picture: sleep, stress, work, school and family life. It all affects the nervous system. We examine A thorough chiropractic and neurological assessment covering posture, movement, reflexes and how your spine and nervous system are working together. We scan Every new person has an INSiGHT scan. It’s quick, painless and non-invasive (no radiation, no needles), and it looks at three things: Muscle activity along your spine, showing how much tension your body is holding Temperature patterns, which reflect how your nervous system is regulating Heart rate variability, a window into how well your body shifts between stress mode and rest mode The scan doesn’t diagnose conditions. It gives us a clear picture of how your nervous system is handling stress and a baseline to measure change against. X-rays, only when they’re needed If your history and assessment suggest we need a closer look at the structure of your spine, we’ll refer you to a local radiology provider for X-rays. We don’t X-ray everyone. When we do, the radiologist’s report comes back to us, and we go through it with you in plain English.
Step 2: Your report of findings
Usually 1-2 days after your first visit
This is where it all comes together. We put your history, exam, scans and any X-rays side by side and walk you through what they show, with nothing hidden and no jargon.
You’ll leave knowing:
What we found, and what it means for how your body is coping
Whether we think we can help, and if we don’t, who we’d refer you to
What we recommend, including how often, for how long and why
What it costs, so there are no surprises
Partners are welcome (and encouraged) to come along. Health decisions are easier when the whole family understands the plan.
Then the decision is yours. No pressure and no lock-in contracts
Step 3: Your care plan
Your care plan is a series of adjustments built around what we found in your assessment. No two plans are the same, because no two nervous systems are the same.
If you’ve ever had braces (or paid for your kids’), you already know how this works. Care follows the same rhythm as a good orthodontist’s plan, in three phases:
Phase 1: Initial Care
Think: getting your braces on
At the start, visits are closer together. Just like braces need regular adjustments to get things moving, your nervous system needs repetition and consistency to start shifting out of stress mode. This is the most hands-on phase.
Phase 2: Retraining Care
Think: wearing your retainer
When the braces come off, you don’t just hope everything stays put. You wear a retainer. Retraining Care works the same way. Visits spread out, and the focus moves to helping your body hold onto the changes so they last.
Phase 3: Lifestyle Care
Think: brushing, flossing and your regular check-up
You keep brushing your teeth and seeing the dentist long after the braces are gone. Lifestyle Care is the same idea. Many people choose regular visits to stay on top of life’s stresses and keep their nervous system in good shape.
We check in along the way
Just like an orthodontist tracks progress, we re-scan and re-assess at set points through your plan. You can see what’s changing, and we can adjust the plan if needed. You’ll never be guessing.
