About Dr Conor
Hi, I’m Conor.
I grew up in Rotorua, New Zealand with chiropractic care as a normal part of family life. Regular check-ups were as routine as going to the dentist, and I saw first-hand how much better mf family functioned when we looked after their nervous systems.
That stuck with me, and after studying chiropractic at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic I came back to what I’d always wanted to do: care for families. For the past six years I’ve been looking for after local families at Healing Wave, and today I’m a director and owner of our Newcastle practice.
I’ve had newborns in my arms, parents running on empty in front of me, and weekend warriors trying to get back on the field, and every one of them reminds me why I do this. There’s nothing quite like a whole family coming through the door, kids bouncing off the walls and mum and dad close behind, then everyone a bit more settled on the way out. When one nervous system in a house is stressed, everyone feels it, so I don’t just look at the person on the table. I look at the whole family picture.
My approach is nervous-system-first, because your nervous system runs everything: how you sleep, how you handle pressure, how you move and how you connect with the people around you.
Every new person gets a thorough assessment, including an INSiGHT scan, a clear explanation of what I find, and a plan we build together, with no guesswork and no pressure.
Outside the practice you’ll usually find me on the soccer pitch, out on the water waterskiing, or volunteering with the Healing Wave team at Soul Hub every fortnight, offering care to people who wouldn’t otherwise have access to it. Throw in some training and good coffee, and that’s me.
Whether it’s for your newborn, your kids, yourself or the whole crew, I’d love to meet your family.
